A guide to Nottingham

When you think of Nottingham, one of the first things that come to mind is Robin Hood! But of course the city has a lot more to offer and it has seen much redevelopment in the city – stylish urban living, new commercial offerings, and improved transport links.

Nottingham is a thriving and vibrant city with many tourist attractions, retail districts, universities, excellent hospitals, and many diverse areas to live in with their own character. Nottingham is easily reached by road, rail, air, and indeed water – with the River Trent running right through the heart of the city. Over the last two decades the expanding tram network has transformed the city, linking several key locations together and so making Nottingham an easy commute.

People come to Nottingham for all kinds of reasons, and many never leave – it’s a great place to live, work, and play. Whether its visiting perhaps the oldest pub in England, browsing the many interesting shops, exploring the caves underneath the city, watching the cricket or football, or heading to a gig at the legendary Rock City – there is something for everyone.
