Please support the 40 for 40 St Barnabas challenge
This year, in support of our chosen charity St Barnabas, we're doing the 40 for 40 challenge. And we'd really love it if you could help by taking part or sponsoring someone you know who is doing the challenge. All the details you need are here.
So far 45 people have signed up! To join the challenge, click here to find out how to set up JustGiving – or if you’re familiar with the process, click here to get started. Don’t forget to include what activity you are doing in your Story!
To donate to someone doing the challenge (and to see what activity they’ve picked), click on their name here.
Here’s how it works: you pick a challenging activity and try to raise £40, starting from 1st January. We’ve provided a list of ideas below but if you’re feeling creative you could come up with your own, or a combination! You’ll see from the list that a lot of activities aim to be completed over 40 days; while others involve doing something 40 times. Why not choose something that will really test you, or do more than one thing – it’s all for a good cause!
St Barnabas is a local charity to us and one that we’re really proud to support. They support over 12,000 people per year across Lincolnshire who are affected by a life-limiting or terminal illness. They deliver free, high quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers. We’re hoping to raise a lot of money for St Barnabas this year, please help us if you can.

The 40 for 40 challenge marks the 40th birthday of the charity and it’s a really flexible and accessible challenge, open to anyone who is able to take part. If you’re not familiar with the work St Barnabas do, please take a moment to read all about it on their website.

How to join the challenge
You’ll need a JustGiving fundraising page which will be linked to our team page. Full instructions on how to set your page up are below.
By setting up JustGiving, any monies you raise on your own page will count towards our grand fundraising total. In our experience it feels good to be part of a team, working collectively to raise a lot of money for a worthy cause. We also want to recognise everyone who is taking part and so we will include a running total, and a list of participants on this page. We’d love to know what activity or activities you will be doing – why not include this on your JustGiving page?
These are just ideas, feel free to come up with your own, or a combination of the above. For further details on the challenge visit St Barnabas here.
