Looking to move? We are open for business and dedicated to keeping you safe.

As England continues its third lockdown, we want to reassure our customers or anyone thinking of moving house that we’re open for business and Pygott & Crone are continuing to operate to strict Covid guidelines.
The health and wellbeing of our customers and employees continues to be our main priority, and we want to carry on doing all we can to help reduce the spread of the virus within our local community. We have conducted all the necessary risk assessments and are applying the relevant guidance to keep both our customers and our employees safe.
Before entering a Pygott & Crone branch
Our offices continue to be locked to the general public and admission is strictly limited to a pre-booked appointment only. If it is necessary to visit one of our public-facing offices, it is vital that all clients are arriving wearing an appropriate face-covering. Our staff will also be wearing a face covering to ensure the appointment can be carried out safely. However, in the event that you are medically exempt, this is fine, but you must present the correct documentation before entering the premises.
Before attending a property viewing
We are currently only arranging physical/virtual viewings with pre-registered clients who are in a position to proceed and seriously considering making an offer on a property. If preferred, virtual property viewings can be conducted via video conferencing software like Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
The viewing questionnaire must be completed prior to the appointment and no more than one purchaser/tenant (or two, if members of the same household) can attend. It must also be confirmed that no one who is attending is symptomatic or has had symptoms in the last 48 hours, is under compulsory isolation order or awaiting results of testing for Covid-19.
If you are selling your property, you must ensure it is well ventilated prior to the appointment. You must also notify your local Pygott & Crone office as soon as possible, if you or any other member of your household develops symptoms or tests positive for Covid prior to the viewing.
Social distancing rules apply at all times during the viewing, and all attendees must refrain from touching anything within the property. An appropriate face covering is compulsory unless you are medically exempt.
If the vendor/tenant is present at the time of the viewing, they must vacate the property to allow for the appointment to take place. If the vendor wishes to stay, the viewing must be carried out by them and it is the viewing coordinator who vacates the property for the remainder of the appointment. No more than two households should be present at a time.
