We are proud to announce that Pygott & Crone will be continuing our sponsorship of Barrowby Football Club for a further two years, reaffirming our commitment to grassroots sport and the local community we serve.
Since we first partnered with the club in mid-2021, we’ve watched with pride as it has gone from strength to strength. What began as a relationship rooted in shared community values has become a long-standing partnership built on mutual respect and real impact.
From 200 to 300 Players: A Club on the Rise
When our sponsorship began, Barrowby FC was home to around 200 players across 14 teams. Today, just four years later, the club boasts over 300 players across 22 teams — a testament to the incredible work of its volunteers and coaching staff, and to the power of sustained local support.
One of the most inspiring developments has been the growth in female participation. In 2022, just 20 girls were part of the club; today, over 70 girls play across five dedicated teams. This remarkable increase reflects not only a national shift but also a deep commitment from the club to inclusivity and opportunity.
More Than a Logo – A Shared Journey
As someone who lives locally and walks my dogs around the playing fields, I’ve seen this transformation firsthand. The club isn’t just growing in numbers — it’s growing in spirit. Our sponsorship has helped unite the teams under one identity, giving players from the Under-6s to the Under-18s a shared sense of purpose and belonging.
It’s particularly special for me, having previously played alongside some of the individuals who now help run the club. That personal connection makes this partnership all the more meaningful, and it’s a privilege to support people who work so hard to create such a positive, welcoming environment for young footballers.
End-of-Season 2024/2025 Awards Presentation
To mark the conclusion of the 2024/2025 season, we were honoured to attend the club’s end-of-season awards presentation. It was a wonderful celebration of effort, improvement, and sportsmanship — and a reminder of why we’re so passionate about supporting the club.
