Running the London Marathon

After weeks and weeks of training on cold early mornings, on Sunday two long-serving members of the Pygott & Crone team will be running the London Marathon for charity.

Jasper Caudwell, a chartered surveyor from our Lincoln commercial branch, is running for the Lincoln City Foundation; and Jamie Aspland, manager of our Sleaford branch, is running for St Barnabas.

London is one of the most popular and iconic marathons in the world, and it is quite difficult to get an entry; indeed Jasper has entered the ballot for several years and was delighted to get his entry at last. For Jamie, this will probably be his last marathon as he has been through a number of setbacks, enduring multiple surgeries on his back and knee.

Please support Jasper and Jamie

There’s still time to sponsor Jasper and Jamie, links to their JustGiving pages are below. Please consider a donation, whatever amount you can afford. Thank you.

If you would like to track their progress through the 42.2 kilometres (or 26 miles and 385 yards in old money), then why not download the 2025 TCS London Marathon app. Once installed, you can enter their names and get real time updates on how they’re doing.

Their stories

Jamie’s choice of charity, St Barnabas, is a deeply personal one; they provided invaluable end-of-life care to a loved one when his family needed it most. If you read his story, you’ll gain a full appreciation of what has driven him to enter and train for the big one. St Barnabas is the principle charity that we have supported in recent years, and Jamie has always been at the forefront of our fundraising.

For Jasper, a keen footballer who’s played for a number of clubs in the Lincolnshire leagues, his choice of charity is the Lincoln City Foundation. They offer several different programmes to help improve the mental health of individuals across Lincolnshire. As Jasper says in his story, what they do is nothing short of amazing.

Both Jasper and Jamie have put everything into their training and everyone at Pygott & Crone wishes them all the best. Well done lads, we’re really proud of you both, have a great race, you will smash it!
