Pygott & Crone prepares for world’s largest property fair

Published in Commercial on 7 March 2018 by our Marketing Team

NEXT WEEK, MIPIM, the world’s largest property and construction expo, will be in full swing. Director Tim Downing explains why he feels it is the most vital event in the property calendar.

It’s that time of the year again. Construction and property professionals from all over the world are heading to France to do millions, if not billions, of pounds worth of business. Pygott & Crone will be there flying the flag for Lincolnshire and the East Midlands in what will be our 21st year at the four-day event. I can’t wait to hit the streets of Cannes.

Every year, I feel incredibly excited about the potential opportunities the event can bring, from securing massive investment for local communities to learning about new industry trends.

It’s an absolutely amazing experience and I am always incredibly proud to represent our region at such an insightful and useful event. It’s a fantastic place for us to show the world how attractive the county is both as an investment and a place to live.

It’ll be my 21st year at MIPIM and, as always, I’ll be looking forward to seeing the various panel discussions and exciting new development announcements. I truly feel it is the most important event in the property calendar.

I am also proud to have been asked to speak on the ’Meeting the Challenge: How Can the Midlands Create the Quantity and Quality of Homes Needed?’ event on Wednesday as part of #LincolnshireDay in the Midlands UK pavilion. The Midlands UK Pavilion is going to be buzzing next week, make sure you pop in to see what opportunities are available in our area.

2017 was a huge year for Lincolnshire and 2018 is set to be another year of prosperity for the county. We have some huge announcements to make in the coming months and I am sure we will have more to share following a successful week walking La Croisette.

Through Pygott & Crone’s presence in London, our membership in the Relocation Agent Network (RAN) and more than 25 years’ experience in property, I’ve seen how the housing market has evolved and what’s next for property in the Midlands region.

The Midlands has become a very attractive prospect for investors with it’s great value for money in fantastic locations, so I expect team Pygott & Crone to be extremely busy next week.

Attending MIPIM this year will be: Tim Downing and William Downing– get in touch if you will also be attending and would like to meet.
