Greater Lincolnshire Property and Construction Awards

Over 350 people showed up to celebrate the Construction & Property sector which took place at the Engine Shed in Lincoln.

Guests arrived in style to the sell-out event sponsored by City of Lincoln Council and were welcomed by guest speaker and fashion designer Wayne Hemingway of HemingwayDesign. Wayne spoke about the architectural landscape in the City and touched on the brilliant scale of construction & property work being achieved across the county.

After a bubbly reception guests were seated for a fun game of heads or tails to kick-start the evening, and a three course meal was served before the winners were announced.

The awards have grown significantly from the first one back in 2017 and next year, Lincolnshire Chamber hope to increase the events capacity, ensuring everyone who wants to be a part of these awards receives the opportunity.
The awards also helped raise a staggering £2168.39 for Lincolnshire charity LIVES – a charity that supports hundreds of volunteers to deliver critical medical emergency care across Lincolnshire.

The awards were also supported by a group of construction and property professionals who formed the award’s Steering Group back in 2016.
Zoe Summerfield, Chair of the construction forum steering group and Business Development Manager at Millward spoke about the event saying:

“The awards were absolutely brilliant. We really stepped things up from last year to make this event extra special and we’re incredibly pleased to say it completely sold out. Wayne Hemingway was a terrific compere and had nothing but positive things to say about the brilliant construction & property work in this county.

“It goes without saying that Lincolnshire is a very special place for construction and property, with countless designs and building work taking place all the time helping to improve and develop our county.

“We’re extremely proud of the sector for all it has achieved over the past year, and I would like to say a massive congratulations to all winners who have and continue to work incredibly hard to make our county look great.

Simon Beardsley, Chief Executive at the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce also spoke about the awards saying:

“It’s been another fantastic year for construction and property businesses across Greater Lincolnshire, and I would also like to say a huge congratulations and well done to all finalists and winners this year.

“A huge thank you also goes out to Chestnut Homes, the Longhurst Group, West Lindsey District Council and Lambert Smith Hampton for sponsoring the drinks, table wine, cakes and programmes. We are already looking forward to planning the next big event in 2019”.
