The challenge is simple: complete a 100 kilometre total distance over the 37 days from Boxing Day until the end of January.

Pygott & Crone are organising this challenge for to raise as much money as possible for CoppaFeel! – the breast cancer awareness charity. And we hope that you will join us to support this fantastic charity.

Many of our friends and families have been through, or are currently being treated for breast cancer. In fact, breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK. So please consider taking part or sponsoring a colleague, friend, or family member who is participating. Thank you.

You’re invited to join the challenge!

You may recall that Pygott & Crone have organised 100 kilometre challenges before, particularly in 2020 when we were blessed with over 250 participants. We feel (after giving everyone a break for a couple of years!) that 2024 is the year to bring the challenge back. And once again we ask you to help us.

Everyone is welcome to join the challenge – you don’t have to be connected to the estate agency industry! For previous challenges we were honoured to receive support from extended families and friends, local businesses; as well as leading personalities, agents and suppliers from the world of estate agents.

Feel free to tell your friends and family about the BreastCancer100 and get them involved – please share this page with them! Any support you can provide – by joining the challenge, sponsoring a participant, or even just spreading the word on social media (hashtag #BreastCancer100) – will be greatly appreciated.

A big thank you to everyone who has pledged to join the challenge so far.

What kind of activities can I do?

You don’t have to be a fitness fanatic to take part in the BreastCancer100 – in fact we’re looking to get as many people involved as possible! You could mix and match activities from the list below, to suit your lifestyle and ability:

  • running
  • walking
  • cycling
  • treadmill
  • exercise bike
  • hiking
  • swimming
  • rowing
  • or any other physical activity you can think of!

100 kilometres in 37 days sounds like a lot, but it’s actually only about 12 and a half miles per week (20 kilometres) – you’ll be surprised how much distance you can cover!

Remember we are doing this for CoppaFeel!

The BreastCancer100 challenge starts on Boxing Day, so it is the perfect opportunity to burn some Christmas calories off…to get out in the fresh air…to be more physically active….to be healthier and happier. Think of the dopamine hit you will get!

Who’s taking part?

So far, 44 people have signed up for the BreastCancer100, which starts on Boxing Day!

Thank you to everyone who has pledged to take part and raise money for CoppaFeel! To sponsor a particular person, just click on them below

Here’s a list of everyone who’s taking part. Click on a name to sponsor that person.

We’d like to recognise everyone who is taking part, so if you’d like to be added to the gallery of participants above, email us your photo along with your details – if not, we’ll pop your name underneath so people can sponsor you.

Tracking your progress throughout the challenge

If you’ve joined the BreastCancer100 challenge, we’ll add a direct link to your JustGiving page here so people can find your profile to sponsor you.

If you have a smartwatch then that’s an easy way to keep track of how many kilometres you’ve done. If you have Strava then join our club so that fellow participants can give you kudos and be inspired!

We’d love it if you could also share your progress with everyone on social media – using the hashtag #BreastCancer100. Whether it’s a post-workout selfie, or a nice photo you’ve taken on your morning walk with the dog – we want to see it! You’ll find us on Facebook and Instagram.

CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! – the breast cancer awareness charity – do fantastic work in encouraging women to regularly check their breasts. Anyone can get breast cancer, whether they are younger or older, and it is the most common type of cancer in the UK – on average over 56,000 cases are diagnosed each year.

They educate people on the signs and symptons of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests regularly. When diagnosed early, treatments for breast cancer are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection saves lives.

We hope that you will consider joining or supporting the BreastCancer100 challenge to raise money for CoppaFeel!

Thank you.
